I am Brad Kramer and am an Associate with The Safety Institute. I work with business leaders and organizational leaders to help them achieve their safety, environmental, and continuous improvement goals. My life experiences have led me into the role as a safety professional and I love teaching and helping others achieve their goals of developing safer and more socially responsible businesses. Some of these experiences include being an active member of the fire service as a firefighter, emergency medical responder, instructor, and passionate student. I’ve been a safety and environmental professional for some of the biggest companies in the manufacturing, agriculture, and fuel distribution industries, am on the board of managers of a progressive watershed district and stay active in community leadership. I started my career working in manufacturing operations and maintenance, as well as doing carpentry work, and soon moved into management. My strongest ability is to bring all the stakeholders in a business together and find ways to meet the needs of a company and solve problems utilizing multiple disciplines. I believe that when a safety problem presents itself, the solutions will often not only make a company safer, but cut costs, improve efficiency, be more economical, and create more job satisfaction.
Outside of my career, I enjoy learning, spending time with my family, being on the lake, and learning to SCUBA dive. I love business and was recently recruited as a SCORE mentor to help other entrepreneurs realize their dream. My wife and I have five children, a granddaughter, grandson on the way, and a sassy border collie/Australian shepherd.
