Chief Jerry Streich is a former U.S. Army Combat Medic and thirty- year veteran of the fire service who has managed large emergency response agencies and statewide programs. He is an International Speaker, Trainer, and Consultant working within the United States and Africa developing and implementing plans to reduce risk and large loss; both human and capital. He has worked with top government officials to train and prepare agencies for major disasters.
Streich specializes in codes (IBC, NFPA, OSHA, UL) and fire and explosion investigations for both criminal and civil cases. He has testified as an expert witness in high profile cases and has worked closely with insurance companies to help determine subrogation cases. He has a keen eye for finding the facts and presenting his case. Today, he uses these skills to reduce the loss of life, limb and capital by using predictive measures to prevent injuries. He often says, “Most incidents are predictable AND preventable. If you know what CAN happen, you can teach others and develop plans to reduce risk and loss.”
As an Incident Commander, Streich works frequently in high-risk environments and develops incident action plans to mitigate all types of incidents. He is a progressive leader who has received awards for his innovation and leadership abilities and working to improve the safety of our workforce through the lessons he has learned.
